Dharamshala — The seat of the Central Tibetan Administration in Dharamshala, India saw close to a hundred Tibetans gather to protest the decision of the President Dr Lobsang Sangay led Kashag to replace the North America Representative Penpa Tsering.

Around 90 men and women from Bylakuppe, Delhi, Nepal and Dharamshala wearing white masks carried out a silent protest at Ghankyi basketball ground in Dharamshala calling for a committee to probe the replacing of the North America Representative.

They held banners that read, 'do not destroy His Holiness the Dalai Lama's authority,' among others. But there were no protests against his appointment that took place in May 2016.

The Kashag recently released another public clarification of nine reasons for his replacement, saying they have made the decision to replace him based on these reasons, include: "a growing trust deficit, under performance and insubordination".
